BK Home Station will be a multipurpose retail general store designed to serve the vibrant and diverse population of Windsor Terrace and Kensington, Brooklyn. Our goal is to be a familiar place that encourages a low-waste sustainable lifestyle rooted in community, culture, creativity & care. It will feature a refill station for home and body essentials, and everyday items that promote low-waste living. It will also provide a curated selection of stationery, decor, gifts, DIY kits, toys, and objects of art with a focus on unique, local, and thoughtfully designed products. As BK Home Station grows, we want it to be a community hub, hosting creative workshops and gatherings.

BK Home Station is the realization of owner Kathy Lando’s dream to create a business that brings together community, creativity, and sustainable living.
A lifelong Brooklyn resident, mother of two daughters, and community volunteer, Kathy spent more than 35 years building relationships and managing projects in marketing, advertising, and creative production. She created BK Home Station to offer neighbors a welcoming place to shop, connect, and discover ways to reduce waste in everyday life.
Close to Kathy's home, the heart of Windsor Terrace and Kensington would be an ideal location for BK Home Station to launch a modern neighborhood general store featuring refill stations for home and body essentials, thoughtfully curated gifts and home goods, stationery, toys, and locally made products. More than a store, it aims to be a gathering place where community, culture, creativity, and care come together through workshops, events, and neighborhood connections.
